ANNOUNCEMENT: DEATH AND FUNERAL OF HARRISON ODHIAMBO OKUMU

 It is with deep sadness and grief that we announce the passing  of Mr Harrison Odhiambo Okumu who passed away on May 20, 2011 while undergoing medical treatment in London, England.
Mr Harrison Okumu’s body is currently lying in Homerton Hospital mortuary in East London, England awaiting transportation to Kenya for burial.
Mr. Harrison Odhiambo Okumu is the son of the late Mzee Shem Okumu-Camerra and Mama Salome Okumu, of Karachuonyo originally but the family homestead is now in Lambwe Valley, Suba District in Homa Bay County.  Harrison is the brother of Pastor George Okumu-Camerra, Mrs. Susan Akinyi Okumu-Wafula, Mrs. Mary Oriedo, Ms Ruth and Ms Pamela. He is brother- in -law of Mrs. Doreen Okumu-Camerra and Mr John Wafula.
Uncle Harrison as he was known by many friends and relatives will be missed by many including several of his cousinsbut more particularly nephews and nieces namely: Lilly, Diane, Molly, Evans, Christine,Vanessa,Natasha, Carl, Kedeen, Isaac, Aloys, Jackie, Washington and Valerie most of whom live in Kenya.  
A memorial  is planned  for Saturday, June 11, 2011 at the John Loughborough School, Holcombe Road,  Tottenham, London N17 9AD between 18:30-20:30.
Following the memorial will be a major Fund-raising event to help transport the body and help the family to travel to Kenya for burial and final farewell.
We are kindly appealing to relatives, friends and well-wishers to come out and support the family raise the money they need to accomplish the task.
